The Early Years | 1976-1989
The Founders | 1990-2014
In 1990 Al and Jeana Bukowski formed Solitude River Trips. For 14 years they offered unforgettable drift boat fly fishing and rafting trips on the Middle Fork of the Salmon River.
Partnership With Orvis | 2003
In 2003 Solitude River Trips became an Orvis Endorsed Outfitter. Solitude was voted Orvis Expedition of the Year in 2006. Solitude continues to be the only Orvis Endorsed Outfitter on the Salmon River.
Passing the Torch | 2014-2024
In 2014 Willi and Kat Cannell purchased Solitude River Trips. Building upon Al an Jeana’s foundation, Willi and Kat grew Solitude into the most comfortable, convenient, and unforgettable, wilderness fly fishing and rafting experience in North America.
The Next Chapter | 2023-Present
In 2023 Bridget Guthrie and Jake Baker took over as new owners of Solitude River Trips. Riding the foundation of their passion for rivers and wild spaces, Bridget and Jake look forward to carrying the legacy of Solitide River Trips into the future.
