Middle Fork Salmon River Trip Checklist
We provide you with a complimentary water resistant duffel for your personal gear (size: 12" x 24"). Your personal clothes and items will be packed into this duffel for the trip, with the exception of your day use items. Your excess luggage will be stored with Solitude, and either brought to the take-out or stored in Stanley until your return. The load carrying capacity and space on our supply raft is limited.
Do not bring your own waterproof bags, personal bags, suitcases,
hip boots, large tackle boxes, stereos, tape decks, lap top
computers or cellular phones. If you enjoy a cocktail before
dinner please bring your own liquor. This can be purchased in
Stanley the evening before your trip. Idaho State law applies
to consumption of alcohol by minors. Do not store any glass
items or food in your waterproof bags. Any breakables can be
stored on our supply raft, or better yet, use a plastic container.
Solitude and their guides WILL NOT BE RESPONSIBLE FOR DAMAGE
TO ANY ITEM IN YOUR DAY BAG.

- Walking Shoes (For Camp) PLEASE no bulky hiking boots

- Very Small Flashlight (check batteries)
- Sun Tan Lotion
- Sunscreen
- Chap Stick

- Camera (check batteries)

- Personal Toiletry Articles (ladies personal items)
- Plastic sack (for soiled & wet clothes)
- Fishing Gear (artificial lure and flies only single barbless hook. No bait fishing of any kind allowed)
- Liquor (optional)
- Gratuity for guides, check or cash.
- Obtain Fishing License in advance Idaho Fish & Game at 1-800-554-8685.
- Snacks, mainly for young children during the day, can be purchased in Stanley the evening before your trip (optional for adults)
NOTE: We provide you with a small, plush pillow. Many of
the above items will go in your day bag, allowing plenty of
room in your duffle.Wet suits may be rented the night before
the trip in Stanley. All people that care to kayak should have
a wet suit. Our June & early July trips require wet suits for
everyone except drift boat fisher people. Cotton clothing is
fine until it gets wet on a cool day. Nylon is a much better
alternative.
